We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and diamonds visitors find useful. Analytics stays switched off until you accept it from the cookie banner. If you reject, we never set analytics cookies and Google receives only anonymised, cookieless pings for aggregate counts.

We don't run ads on this site, so the advertising signals in Google's consent model are always denied — accept or reject doesn't change that.

You can change your mind any time: open the Cookies link in the footer to revisit your choice. Your decision is stored in a first-party cookie for 182 days; after that we ask again.

Personal information

The Gem Tree (Pty) Ltd, registered in Johannesburg, South Africa, is the responsible party for personal information handled through this site — in South African law under POPIA, and, for visitors in the EU or UK, the controller under GDPR. Our information officer is contactable at info@thegemtree.co.za.

When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, contact details, and the message you wrote. We use it to answer you, and we keep it only as long as needed to complete the conversation — typically no more than 24 months after our last contact — after which we delete it.

Enquiry submissions pass through Cloudflare Turnstile (a spam check) and are relayed through our form service to our inbox. We don't share your details with anyone outside The Gem Tree and those services, except where the law requires it.

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time — email info@thegemtree.co.zaand we'll come back to you within 30 days.
